Find a builder you trust

Start with the Builder Rankings. Scroll the list to discover builders, or search an exact X handle if someone specific comes to mind. You are looking for someone new to TestDrive whose handle matches a Builder Rank account.

Not sure how to read the list? How Builder Rank works explains what the ranking measures. The invited builder's rank at the time their referral is accepted determines the reward.

Opening this link fills the “Referred by — X handle” field with @testdriveso. Replace @testdriveso with your own X handle before sharing your link. The invited builder can edit or clear the pre-filled handle before submitting, and TestDrive records the handle they actually submit.

What you both earn

The invited builder's Builder Rank sets the reward:

  • Rank #1–1,000: you get $50 in ALPHA and they get $50 in ALPHA.
  • Rank #1,001–10,000: you get $25 in ALPHA and they get $25 in ALPHA.

A real review unlocks the reward.

No scripted praise is needed. Positive, mixed, and critical first-hand takes all count. The reward is for completing a real product test.

Make it count

  1. They open your link and sign up with your handle.
  2. They verify their X account and match an entry in the Builder Rankings.
  3. They complete and post their first TestDrive review.
  4. TestDrive verifies the review and queues both rewards.

Your reward is locked fairly

When TestDrive accepts the first valid referral after X verification and an exact Builder Rank match, it saves the invited builder's rank and reward band. If their place on the list changes later, that referral keeps the reward band it earned.

  • The referred account must be new to TestDrive.
  • One referred account can have only one referrer. The first valid attribution wins.
  • Signups, link clicks, drafts, and unverified posts do not qualify.
  • Rewards are paid in ALPHA, not cash.
